DAVID

For a number of years I ran my own theatre production company, Stewart Productions. The company began when my first play, Jujubes, was accepted for Harvest, the Montreal LGBT Theatre Festival. My second show, David, was also accepted for Harvest a few years later and we went on to remount it independently in Montreal and a third time for the Toronto Fringe Festival.

David

What does sex mean? Why do we have sex? Sex as lust, as love, as power. Sex as self-worth. Sex as self-destruction. Sex as status. Sex as failure.
Nick doesn’t know it, but on this Friday night he’s working his way through all these positions. His past and future are coming together in the present: David

Voted one of the Best Plays of 2007 by the Montreal Mirror.
